Senior Solutions Engineer

Following our Series A funding round, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Senior Solutions Engineer to join us in crafting an indispensable part of the content creation toolset and working closely with major studios worldwide. You’ll need to have prior experience developing tools and  pipelines for VFX, games, animation, or other areas in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry.  Knowledge in infrastructure for cloud-based software is a big plus!

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers in a lead technical role

  • Execute full lifecycle software development

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code

  • Act as a voice for the customers we serve and build out project plans to execute on their priorities

  • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics

  • Work across product teams and components to help develop features driven by customers

  • Document code and maintain software functionality

  • Proactively analyze, diagnose, and resolve software bugs

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Conductor platform

  • Comply with project plans and industry standards

Required Skills/Characteristics:

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across teams with different areas of focus

  • Comfortable working with customers and with a variety of different studio pipelines

  • Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork ethic

  • Passion and enthusiasm for creating amazing products and delivering unparalleled user experience

  • Strongly motivated by opportunities to positively impact the direction of the company and product

  • Working knowledge of one or more popular DCCs:  Maya, Nuke, Katana, Houdini, etc.

  • Familiar with one or more popular renderers: Arnold, Renderman, V-Ray, etc.

  • Proficient in Python

Highly Desired Skills/Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced studio production environment

  • Experience with rendering queue software: Tractor, Qube, Thinkbox, etc.

  • Experience with relational, document, and object databases

  • Experience with frameworks like Qt, React, Node.js

  • Experience with one or many cloud compute platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)

  • Comfortable working both in an office or remotely and productive in both settings

  • Proficient in Git

Additional Skills/Characteristics:

  • Minimum 3+ Years M&E Pipeline / Tools Development experience with relevant technologies

  • 4 year CS or Engineering degree, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in design and implementation of complex SaaS/PaaS systems

  • Experience in implementing Continuous Integration and Automated Testing

  • Experience using Jira, Confluence or other similar development tools

  • Broad technical software and/or systems experience coupled with interest in growing skills and gaining experience depth
